Spread over 30 acres of land is an exquisite heritage hotel that dates back to the 15th century. The fort bears long and fascinating tales of history. It is believed that the heir to the fort, Mewar Prince Chunda Ji abdicated the throne for his yet-to-be-born step brother. The tales of his supreme sacrifice are spoken of widely. The centuries-old structure has seen numerous battles and attacks to fight off Mughal and Maratha rulers, and it wears its scars proudly. The entire fort is divided into various regions like jails, stables, mansions for the housing of the emperor, et cetera and the whole region is surrounded by a huge moat; all of which are now open to public viewing.
