Kite Flying
On January 14th, the residents of Jaipur fly kites all day to celebrate the festival of Makar Sankranti. The state government also organizes ‘International Kite Festival’ for 3 days between 10th and 20th January at Jaipur Polo Ground, wherein the kite lover across the globe participates. The festival is celebrated with great pop and show and amazing firecrackers show lit up the sky in evening.

Puppet Show
Puppet shows are the source of entertainment in rural Rajasthan. The wooden dummy dolls are dressed up in colorful and bright clothes and are attached with strings that are used by puppeteers to move them. Usually packages are offered by various restaurants which includes pick-up and drop, dinner, puppet show and all taxes and surcharges included.
Palace on Wheels
In order to promote tourism in Rajasthan, the Indian Railways launched the Palace on Wheels (a luxury tourist train) in association with RTDC (Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation). Initially, it started on January 26, 1982, and was relaunched with a new decor, cuisine and itinerary in August 2009.

Raj Mandir Cinema was opened in 1976 and was designed by W.M. Namjoshi. The first movie that was showcased in this meringue-shaped auditorium was “Charas”. It is situated near M.I. Road, on the Bhagwan Das Road.
