OVERVIEW: –

Previously built as a pleasure palace by Maharana Jagat Singh II in the 18th century, Taj Lake Palace was converted into a luxury hotel in 1963. Situated like Lotus flower in the middle of the lake, Taj Lake Palace offers breathtaking scenic beauty and also provides the view of City Palace and Lake Pichola. ROOMS (No. of Rooms- 66 and Suites- 17):

  • Luxury Rooms (300 sq. ft.) – These rooms offer a great view of the lake, mountains, and the city.   • Palace Rooms (400 sq. ft.) – Bigger in size from Luxury Rooms, Palace Rooms present the view of the lake, monuments, and the city. You can request for infant cribs with this room in addition to all other facilities that are present with Luxury Rooms.
  • Historical Suites – Taj Lake Palace has 3 historical suites in the oldest parts of the palace. All rooms are of different sizes, and one of them has therapy area where you can take spa treatments. You also get a private Jacuzzi with these suites.
  • Royal Suites (500 to 700 sq. ft.) – Feel the royalty and live like a king in Royal Suite of Taj Lake Palace. These suites have a traditional decor and offer a panoramic view even from the bathrooms.

BHAIRO (Restaurant):

Serving European food, Bhairo is an open air and world’s one of the most romantic restaurants. The seating area is close to the lake and brings on the cool breeze with tasty food. (Timings: 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM)

JHAROKHA (Restaurant):

Jharokha is an all-day dining multi-cuisine restaurant that specializes in the Asian and Mediterranean dishes. (Timings: 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM)

AMRIT SAGAR (Bar):

This is the bar of Taj Lake Palace. The menu consists of international spirits, single malts, cognacs and cigars along with the mouth-watering dishes like antipasti, brochettes, and kebabs. (Timings: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM)

 

LOCATION: –

As the hotel is situated in the middle of the Lake Pichola, you have to arrive at the lake by car and then reach the hotel by boat.

  • By Air – The nearest airport to Taj Lake Palace is Marana Pratap Airport. It is 23.5 kms away from the hotel. You can book a cab from the airport to reach the Lake Pichola.
  • By Rail – Udaipur railway station is just 4 kms from the hotel. You can reach the Lake Pichola by taking a cab from the railway station.
  • By Road – The bus stop of Udaipur is 3.8 kms from the hotel Taj Lake Palace. Lake Pichola can be reached via cab.
