LOCATION:-

  • By Air – Jaisalmer does not have an airport; not a commercial one anyway. The airport is small, for military uses. It does host chartered planes, but it is usually unused. The next closest airport is in Jodhpur. It takes approximately six hours to reach Jaisalmer from the city, so you can hire a driver or take a bus.
  • By Rail – Jaisalmer does have a railway station. It is connected brilliantly and conveniently with other important cities such as Delhi, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Mumbai, et cetera. Outside of the railway station, you can easily find waiting cabs and auto-rickshaws that you can hire.
  • By Road – Jaisalmer has an excellent road connectivity with the neighbouring cities. Jaipur, the state capital, is about 558 kms away and it takes nine hours of driving to reach. Alternatively, you can also take a bus, among the many that commute to and through the city of a daily basis.
