The USO (Udaipur Solar Observatory) is located amidst a large mass of water in the Fateh Sagar Lake. It was built by Dr. Arvind Bhatnagar in 1976. The USO is used for observing solar active regions, mass ejections, magnetic field, high-resolution solar chromospheric, etc.
